The weather in Salamanca is determined by a continental climate, with quite cold winters and really hot summers. Spring and autumn are very short and last several weeks. That is why the change from summer to winter weather and in reverse can be almost overnight.
Winters (from the end of September to the beginning of April) are quite cold with an average temperature about 7ºC during the day.
Summers, in a contrary, are extremely hot with temperatures reaching sometimes 40ºC. The average temperature is about 35ºC during daytime and about 20ºC at night.
