San Sebastian airport
San Sebastian airport is sittuated 19 kilometers from the city center and has connection with Barcelona and Madrid through all year and also with Alicante and Malaga during the summmer. To get from the airport to the center you can take the bus “Fuenterrabia – San Sebastian” operated by INTERBUS that leaves every 30 minutes. It arrives at Gipuzkoa Square, close to the City Hall of San Sebastian (400 m to the north of EUSKOTREN railway station). However, this bus service does not have any other stop in San Sebastian. The journey takes 45 minuts and costs about 1.50€.Other possibility is to take the taxi that are usualy in front of the arrival terminal – it costs about 25€.
Biarritz airport
Biarritz airport lies 50 kilometers from San Sebastian and has connections with all main cities in Europe ( London, Paris, Frankfurt, Brussels, Madrid, Stuttgart, Koln and Hanover). After the arrival you can take a bus to the bus station station and there take a coach to San Sebastian.
BUS
You have to take the bus number 6 from the airport to the centre of Biarritz (leaves every 20 min) and than from the bus station there is a PESA company operating that route.The departure point next to the Biarritz Tourist Office.
Bilbao Airport
The biggest airport situated near San Sebastian It is located at 10 km. from Bilbao city center and 100 km. from San Sebastian. It offers good links for intercontinental flights, via London, Frankfurt, and Paris. Bilbao airport is connected with Basel, Brussels, Bordeaux, Frankfurt, Geneva, Lisbon, London, Milan, Paris, Porto, and Tunisia. Bilbao Airport is linked with the city center by bus and regional train "EUSKOTREN". Both stations are at 1 km from Bilbao Central Bus Station "TERMIBUS" with convenient connections by underground and urban bus. Then, you can get San Sebastian by coach. If you do not plan to stay in Bilbao, you can also take a taxi directly from the Airport to TERMIBUS. But remember that the last bus to San Sebastian departs at 22:00.
By train
San Sebastian can be reached from other Spanish cities by train (www.renfe.es) and also by fast train TGV that links Paris and Madrid( www.tvg.com) ( although it stops in Hendaye – from here take “topo” the local train that leaves every 30 minutes – 1.30€ - 40 min).
By bus
There are regular international lines linking San Sebastian with Hanover, Hamburg, Cologne, frankfurt, Rotterdam, London, Amsterdam, brussels, Paris, Warsaw, Geneva and Zurich (EuroLines) as well as buses that connect San Sebastian with other Spanish provinces (ALSA)
