Tapas-tasting called by locals ir de pinchos is the most popular beginning of the evening. Small rations of typical dishes washed down with a glass of beer, wine or basque cider give you opportunity to relished the variety of local cusine. The best quarter to ramble from one tapas bar to another is noisy and crowded Parte Vieja or a part of the city known as a zona romantica. Whatever you want you will find here... From fancy, modern and expensive restaurants throughout good jazzclubs to typical siderias with sticky floor from the scraps of the drink.
Parte Vieja abounds also with discos and places with a dance floors although they are open only till 3.30 at night. Than the old part of the city dies down to let the residentes get some sleep and to wake up with morning surge of turist.
Late at night the entertainment centre moves to Illumbe, the biggest after pary zone in San Sebastian. Here you can check out anormous amount of discos and nightclubs just skiping from one place to another. And again you can revel till the sun come up...
If you want to hide from the turistic crowed the area of Buen Pastor Cathedral provide a more relaxed ambience, with quality lounge music and nicely decorated interiors.
