When the night falls, Sevillians escape to the typical small streets and plazas to enjoy their free time. Also international students who learn Spanish in Seville love to get used to this habit.
Taste tapas, discover the flamenco and party in a wild way until you can enjoy the beautiful sunrise of southern Spain.
Start you night out with some good tapas. Find you tasty bites in some good not-too-touristy tapas bars that the city has to offer, such as El Patio San Eloy and Casa La Vida, both in the heart of the centre.
And of course, Seville is one of the most important flamenco cities in the world. It’s not very surprising many international students like to see something of this passionate form of Spanish culture in one of the flamenco spots. Those are often very touristy and expensive, but there are exceptions. Although the majority of the visitors is Spanish, La Carbonería offers dancing and live music for free.
Partly because of the high temperatures Sevillians like to have their drink on the street, in front of their bars. Sevilla is one of cities with the highest concentration of bars in Spain. All this makes the city centre a lively place. In summer you can also cool-down at the cosy open-air bars set up along the river Guadalquivir.
Spread over the city, Seville offers many districts with night venues. Around Plaza de Alfalfa you will not only an amazing amount of people on the street, it’s also packed with late-night bars. Other popular places to go out in Seville are Alameda de Hércules and right besides the river in Triana, a famous flamenco neighbourhood. If you’re looking for some bigger discotheques, you will be having fun in discotheques in the area close to the Seville soccer stadium.
