Tenerife has the smallest difference between summer and winter temperatures for anywhere in the world. The average daily temperatures vary imperceptibly in the course of the year making Tenerife an ideal all-year-round destination to study Spanish in Spain.
Although Tenerife is located only a little to the north of the Tropic of Cancer, the influence of both Gulf and Trade Winds that sweep over the island provide the unique mild weather conditions. The multifarious landscape amazes with the intense variety of micro-climatic weather zones; it’s true- living in Tenerife you can almost choose your favourite climate.
The island is divided into two climatic zones by the dormant volcano El Teide, the third highest in the world. While these higher regions in the north are experiencing snow and cold winds, beaches in the south enjoy sunshine. The extreme difference can be observed while traveling from the South to North. The South of the Island is definitely warmer and sunnier than the North. The North is much cooler but is much greener and lush with vegetation of all kinds.
