By plane
Valencia airport is located about 8 kilometers west of the city centre. About ninety-five percent of international traffic comes from the European Union, mostly from the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Italy.There are also connections with Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Tunisia. There are 20 flights daily to the two main international Spanish airports, Madrid-Barajas and Barcelona-El Prat (4 to Barcelona, 16 to Madrid), with onward connections to the other major cities of the world.
Transfers to Valencia City Center:
By bus
Airport buses depart every 10-15 minutes from the outside of the arrival lounge. The journey to the centre costs 1€ and the ticket can be bought on the bus.
By taxi
There is a taxi stand outside the arrivals terminal, usually with plenty of cabs waiting for travellers. The trip takes 15-20 mins and costs around 15 € (including tip).
By Valencia Airport Transfer
The travel agency Viajes Alameda provides transfers from the airport to the final destination. The minibus will wait for your flight on arrival. Reservation in advance is required.
By train
Valencia´s main train station is located in the heart of the city, so it’s easy to get from here to all other points of the city. Spain has a good train system with connection with the European railway network daily via France and also there are several daily trains to Valencia from Madrid (it takes 3.5 hours) and Barcelona (it takes 3 hours).
